Ready to move beyond the basics? This three-hour, small-group workshop is designed for players who have completed our Beginner Mahjong Workshop or already understand the basic rules and know how to read the 2026 American Mahjong card.

Led by Aida Mireya Villanueva of @RGV_Mahjongg, this class focuses on guided play, strategy, and building confidence at the table. As you play through real games, Aida will coach you through your decisions, help you recognize and develop possible hands, and show you how to adjust your strategy as the game unfolds.

You don’t need to have everything memorized. This workshop is the bridge between learning the basics and feeling comfortable playing more independently at our Mahjong Open Play gatherings. Unlimited Chinese tea poured by @RGVTea is included throughout the afternoon.

Who This Class Is For

This workshop is for players who have taken Mahjong 101 or already understand the basic rules and can read the American Mahjong card. It is not intended for first-time players.

Cancellation Policy

Cancel 72 hours or more before the workshop for a full refund.

Cancellations made within 72 hours are non-refundable, but you may transfer your ticket to someone else.

No-shows are non-refundable and non-transferable. A $10 no-show fee will also be charged.
